There is something refreshing about the beginning of January. It is that invigorated, new year feeling that leads many of use to make resolutions and to take steps toward improving various aspects of our lives. The RevResponse team is still feeling that new year motivation. Are you?
Don't worry, we aren't claiming to be self-help gurus. We aren't going to sell you a diet program or a quit-smoking drug. But, we are going to make a resolution to all of our partners this year that we hope will help you to improve one aspect of your lives: wealth.
Today, we begin our monthly blog series that will inspire you to try new RevResponse promotions. And, in doing so, you will find fresh ways to deliver our free content to your audience and increase your earnings.
In our first Creative Promotions Blog Series entry, we are starting with some of our most basic advice: think outside of the IAB box. What do we mean? We want you to consider all of the ways you can promote RevResponse offers other than in your dedicated ad space.
We want you to take full advantage of the RevResponse program; and, to do that, you must show your users the value of what we have to offer.
You likely belong to dozens of affiliate and advertising networks. For the most part, those networks do one thing: provide you with ad codes that you drop into your site, right? As you know, we do that too; but, with our partnership you can do so much more.
RevResponse is a content-driven network. We pay you for giving away free stuff. That's why you joined. You make money by giving something valuable away. So, the best way to give something away is to make sure your audience knows that it is available to them.
In addition to the ads and widgets you can plug into your site, you can really get creative with letting your users know about our magazine subscriptions and white paper downloads. How? Well, that's up to you.
Here's a list of some ways to start getting creative in 2010. We'll focus more specifically on some of these promo ideas in future blog entries. But for now, see if you can make these ideas work for you:
1. Integrate your co-branded content resource library into your site navigation.
2. Post a daily, weekly, or monthly blog entry about a specific offer for your audience.
3. Add your partner URL to your email correspondence.
4. Include offers in your eNewsletters and mailings.
5. Get your social network involved.
Don't stop with these five suggestions. Try new ideas until you find one that works. And please share with us your successes.
