Case Study: Partner X Earns $2,400 in Referral Revenue

Here is an example of a partner who doesn’t make a huge sum from us through our offer promotions but has managed to earn almost $2400 in the past six months by simply referring others to our program.

For privacy purposes, we cannot disclose this partner’s name, but we guarantee that this case study is genuine. The partner will be referred to as Partner X.

How did Partner X generate more than $2k in 6 months without promoting a single offer? He considered his business contacts, site users, family, and friends, and sent them a simple pitch via email. Through one well-crafted email and a few follow-up messages, he has gotten 22 of his contacts to sign up to the RevResponse program. Twenty-one of those contacts were approved as partners. Partner X includes a link to his co-branded content resource center which had been customized by using the Co-branded Site Wizard.

Partner X continues to reach out to his business contacts when he believes that their sites and niches could fit within the RevResponse program. He is paid 20% of the earnings that these referred partner generate within our program. By participating in the RevResponse referral program, Partner X simply sends a few emails to relevant contacts, follows-up with them if they have questions, and watches his earnings grow through their efforts.

I too tried to have some partners work for me. However, I came to know that since they didn't have a site and some other did not have a niche B2B site they were denied the opportunity. It severely restricts sponsorship.
On the other hand, I found that I generated subscription leads directly , simply by referring the right professionals , my partner link rather than showing to them my website having the link, all the time, although of course my B2B sites too generate leads.

I would thus suggest that the requirement of having a B2B site for becoming a partner may be dropped. That's even if someone applies without having an owned site he or she may be allowed to become a partner. If it happens then every body stands to gain , he, me and you. At the most, for such prospects the application can be sent by a partner himself through email to you so that the partner takes part responsibility of sponsorship.

Hi Vijay,

Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. We do have a number of requirements that we consider when reviewing partner applications. If an applicant does not have a site that fits into one of our niches we generally follow up with that applicant and give them a chance to explain what they hope to accomplish by joining our program.

If you have referred someone to our program and have explained to them how we work, they will be able to explain their plans and will likely get approved. That said, we can't approve every applicant simply because they were referred by another partner (this would put us in a vulnerable position for fraudulent partnerships).

Every RevResponse partner must have an applicable user-base or a plan for promoting our offers to relevant users. And every applicant has the opportunity to explain their case to us in order to be approved.
