Trying to dynamically size the iframe that holds my cobranded site to display it on my own site. Found javascript like this: // Firefox worked fine. Internet Explorer shows scrollbar because of frameborder function resizeFrame(f) { f.style.height = f.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight + "100px"; }

Hi Work911,

Thanks for your patience while I tracked down an answer.

Emerson gave me the following info:
It seems that cross domain content is not allowed to be accessed by JavaScript for security reasons. You will most likely not be able to accomplish what you want to do (dynamically setting the height of the TradePub iFrame).

There are some more complex JS solutions, but likely have browser incompatibilities. Another option is for you to set up a proxy on your server to grab our code. Then you can just stuff that in a <div> instead of iFrame. That way, you should have full control of the content and height.

I'm not sure how much time you are willing to put into this, but the proxy shouldn't take too long to set up on your end if you are familiar with ajax.

If you need additional help or info, let me know. Emerson says he's happy to answer questions for you directly to see if he can help you accomplish your goal.

Thanks Karen. The cross browser issue sounds right. I think I'll leave things as they are, since simple is better anyway. It's a minor aesthetic thing anyway.

BTW, we're getting "back" to promoting you guys now. So, in the event you need a reminder about stats, we NEED to know impressions and clickthru stats either via you, OR by somehow integrating with Google's ad manager (there should be a way to add a macro to your ad creatives, and that may be the simplest way for you guys to go.

Please, pretty please.

I've passed along your "pretty please" to our CTO. He's got it on his radar and says he'll provide an update early next week.

Stay tuned!

Glad to hear that you're back to promoting us. We absolutely want to work something out that gives you impression and click data and your suggestions about Google Ad Manager make a lot of sense. I'll circle back to you via email so we can figure out how to get something in place.
