This tool provides you the capability to trigger a lightbox with a featured resource to appear when a reader visits your site. Your visitors get the added benefit of downloading a valuable eBook, white paper or magazine and you can increase your audience revenue.
How does it work?
First, go through the steps as outlined on the Offer Lightbox page. Add the introductory text you'd like to appear at the top of the lightbox, pick a color theme and narrow the offers by specifying the categories that pertain to your content. The more specific you are, the more likely your leads will be qualified.
The lightbox is preset with a three-second delay before it fires and a cookie duration of three days. These can be modified within the code. In addition, the box is also set to appear when any visitors comes to your page. This can also be modified to only be visible to visitors that find your site on search engines. Just click on "Generate Ad Code" when you've determined your Settings and change the following before highlighting the code and copying it between the "body" tags in your site.
To make it easier to change, all the code appears at the top of the code snippet. First, copy it to your page, then change the following:
-To only set the lightbox to appear to search engine visitors, change "var_check_search="false" to the "true" variable.
-To choose a different time delay, replace the number in "var_delay_time="3" to the one you'd prefer.
-To pick another cookie duration, again change "var_cookie_date" to the number you'd like.
